HQ MOJO
Review by Mike Reedy December 3, 2011
We picked up a Mojo from Chris at HQ Kites while were at
the DeadBirdBuggyBash in Galveston a few weeks ago.
Packaging was typical quality HQ for a 2 line stunt
kite. In this case, the Mojo is a 4 line kite.
It took us a few minutes to figure out how the
connections on the back of the kite went for the spars.
They have a combination of crossing and twisting that looked
foreign to us, but we finally figured it out. |

First off, the Mojo is nicely done.
Quality workmanship and nice graphics, it comes in the
red you see here and green. The kite is much smaller
than a Rev 1.5 in both size and price. The Rev is the
only other kite I can compare this to. it flies
similarly in all respects. maybe not quite as agile,
but someone wanting a Rev but not finding the cash to do so
would enjoy the Mojo.
One interesting thing about the
Mojo as we thought if flew slowly; is that there are
optional brakes you can deploy to the top edge of the kite.
These are triangular pieces of fabric screen that slow the
kite in flight. If you do not attach these, the
kite is much quicker in the sky. Had we known this,
we would not have deployed them on our 3 mph test day.
I would recommend the Mojo. Once I start receiving
orders, I will start carrying it in stock.
