Review of the Peter Lynn Core
6.7m by Mike
Reedy July 22, 2011
This is my second review of the Peter Lynn Core.
My opinions of this kite have not changed. I believe
this kite to be a perfect all around kite for anyone
interested in purchasing a top quality kite that they can
use for buggying, boarding, jumping, or recreational
flying.
Pictured here are 2 6.7m Cores.
One a 2010 model, one a 2011 model. We used the
6.7m's for testing as we had 3 mph winds. We were also
flying some 4.1m Twisters, but the wind was just not
enough for our daredevils to get any air with them.
The Core is Peter one of Peter Lynn's Pro series kites
and shares that distinction with the Reactor II and the
Vapor. Both of the latter kites are specific buggy
kites while the Core is more of an all around kite.
Handles, lines, bag and kite are all typical what I
expect from Peter Lynn. The best there is....period.
We had 100+ degree weather for our testing.
Both test pilots Derick and Nathan managed to get some real
good air with this kite. Whats nice about the Core is
it is very stable and absorbs any gusts of wind
exceptionally well keeping the power smooth and reliable.
I'm not an advocate of jumping and do not recommend
it (from a professional retailer point of view).
But I really enjoy watching people jump when they know how
to do it. I am always amazed and intrigued by the
actions.
Especially since I am too
chicken to try it myself.
This kite had plenty of grunt and it was capable of
floating the test pilots in just 3 mph winds.
I would definitely suggest this kite to anyone who likes to
fly in different styles but doesn't have alot of money to
spend on specific kites for the buggy, the landboard,
or jumping. It is an all arounder and it is very very
good at that. It is
the perfect all rounder and the quality cannot be matched.
