New Year Greetings
This past few weeks, I have learned a few
things. The best thing I learned was that the
Mayans were DUMB. There
isn't much on the web about where
the Mayans are now. Perhaps the smarter
ones knew that they were dumb and decided to branch off.
The world is still here and that is a good thing for
those of us who want to fly kites.
Also, with the nice weather (until Christmas day)
that we were having, Several of the DAKO members
have had some time to get out and fly some kites.
I brought in at Thanksgiving a Peter Lynn Phantom 15m in
red that we've been flying regularly. Derick
recently started flying a Phantom 12m in Blue as well.
We've also had a chance to review the New Peter Lynn
Lynx. This is an exceptional kite that i look
forward to being more familiar with.
Lastly, I have a few really good deals on some
popular kites until 12/30. I need to clear some
stuff out for end of the year tax season, so here
is a good opportunity. More Below.

We've had a good bit of experience with the
Peter Lynn Phantom recently. This is
a closed cell DePower Arc kite. This kite
turns quickly and has a nice amount of pull.
Being closed cell and so big, it needs
about 10 mph wind to come into its own.
Above that and it is truly an amazing kite.
Take your hands off the bar and this kite will
Auto-Zenith which means it will just go straight
above you and sit with no controls from you.
This kite was designed primarily for
landboarding and buggying. Being a closed
cell arc like the Peter Lynn Charger, it
is water capable; however, Peter
Lynn pushes the Charger as the water kite and
not this one.
I've done a few videos on this kite already.
I'm doing a written review soon.

Above: Several of us have also
had a chance to try out the new Peter Lynn Lynx.
The kite above was a 7m version. This kite too is
a DePower kite. DePower kites are a bit more up
front, but aren't as scary as some of the Fixed
bridle kites. They are primarily used for
'motion' kiting. Landboards, Buggies,
Kiteboarding, Snowboarding. They require a harness
to fly. first one to buy a
LYNX gets 10%
off.
LEFT: High flying Derick
gets some air with his Phantom 12m. This is a good
view of his harness and the attachments a DePower has.

NEW
Peter Lynn Cores available. These
kites are being discontinued. I have no
reason why other than they will probably bring a
new version out in a few years as that seems to
be the trend.
This is my favorite fixed bridle kite period.
Derick uses them to jump with. I like to
buggy with them. They are beginner
friendly and intermediate favorites.
25% off right now through the 12/30.
I have (2)
4m Cores and (1) 6.7m Core left
I also have
One 6.8m
Viper left at the same rate.

sitting here until Festival season starts back
up in March.
A few other kites have sales as well.

Picture of the Week:
I will be posting a 'Picture of the Week' at the top
of my Newsletters in the Banner section. This week is a
picture of Dako Member Derick L flying a Peter Lynn Phantom 12m.
Picture by Dako president Chris B.
I would like to have my readers send me a picture that would fit the
theme of kite flying. Just send me a picture, tell me about the picture
(kite,
person(s), what you like about the kite, etc.)
