| Kite Buggying is a great sport. Not
quite as hard as landboarding, but you still need to
know how to handle the kite. The below
selections are listed in order from best for buggies down. From the Viper down the kites get better for
buggies and more expensive as well. Choose 2-3m for
high winds and 5m and up for lighter winds. |
 |
Peter Lynn Vapor
$$$$ The Vapor is THE Premier Buggy kite setting
the land speed record of 82.9 mph. You must be an
experienced buggier to be successful with the Vapor.
Purely a race kite, it is built for speed...and lots of it.
Not a choice for a beginner |

Peter Lynn Reactor II
$$$ The Reactor
II is MY PREFERRED Buggy kite. Its
solid pull and predictability make this kite one of my best
sellers. It is in Peter Lynn's pro series and
comes in 3 different color schemes. You must be
an experienced kiter but can be a novice buggier and be
successful with the Reactor.

Peter Lynn Viper
S $$ The Viper S is the
perfect beginning Kite Buggy. Solid pull is only
bested by the Reactor. Where others fall short,
this kite won't. Great both upwind and downwind,
the Viper is an economical version of a buggy kite. I
sell the smaller sizes as first Power Kites as well.
For someone who thinks they will eventually get into
buggies, the 2.6m or 3.9m make decent first kites. |
 |
HQ TOXIC
$$ The HQ Toxic is another good
buggy choice. Very similar to the Viper in
performance, this kite has good looks and
predictability. This is a very good option for a first
buggy kite as well. |
 |
Peter Lynn Core
$$ So far down the list,
but this is my go to buggy kite for the 6m size. More
forgiving than the Reactor it is also slower. Don't
let that fool you, the Core will pick up more speed
than I want. Check out this video link for proof.

Peter Lynn Phantom
II |
 |
Peter Lynn Hornet
II $ A beginner kite in
the truest since of the word. Very forgiving.
Not specifically a buggy kite. This kite can get you
there, but you will need twice the kite or even larger
for the same performance as the leading buggy kites.

HQ Beamer
$ A beginner kite in the truest
since of the word. Very forgiving. Not
specifically a buggy kite. This kite can get you
there, but you will need twice the kite or even larger
for the same performance as the leading buggy kites.
Very similar to the Hornet |
 |
HQ Apex III $$$ The
first DePower Kite choice. Good entry level DePower
kite. Requires a harness. A bit more suited to
landboarders and snowboarders, but works very well in
buggies. |
 |
HQ Montana VI $$$$
Another DePower Kite choice. Good DePower kite.
Requires a harness. A bit more suited to landboarders
and snowboarders, but works very well in buggies. |

Umbrella |
http://youtu.be/KpDoyc-yEHU
$ Ultra cheap version of
buggying. Not recommended. No worries about
hitting people with kite lines, but very limited
visibility and you just look stupid. Fun to try once I
would imagine. Why don't you go cheaper and hold up a
garbage bag. No chance of going upwind at all.
